Athlete Quotient, Inc. ("Athlete Quotient," "AQ," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at athletequotient.com (the "Site") or use our platform and services (collectively, the "Services").

In addition to Google Analytics, we operate our own analytics, which runs on our servers and sends nothing to a third party. We built it because we need to know where people get stuck in our Services, and we would rather answer that question with a deliberately small amount of information than hand a fuller picture to somebody else.
What it records. The name of something that happened ("viewed a page", "started the assessment", "reached step 3", "submitted"), the page it happened on, a randomly generated session identifier, a small number of low-detail values such as a step number or a sport, the campaign tags on the link you arrived through, the domain name (not the full address) of the site that referred you, and whether your screen is phone, tablet, or desktop sized. When you are signed in, events are associated with your account.
What it never records. Names, email addresses, dates of birth, ages, physical measurements, athletic metrics, IP addresses, or browser user-agent strings. Where an AQ Score appears in an event it is recorded as a broad band, never as a number, and never alongside anything that identifies who it belongs to.
The session identifier is random. It is not derived from you, your device, or anything about you, it resets after 30 minutes of inactivity, and it is deliberately not carried from athletequotient.com to our portal, so browsing you do before creating an account is not linked to the account you later create.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honored. If your browser sends either signal, our own analytics collects nothing at all - not a reduced set, nothing. Much of our audience is under 18, and someone who has asked not to be measured should not have to take our word for it.
We may receive information from third-party services you choose to connect, such as Google Sign-In (name and email address only).

Athlete Quotient does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This commitment applies to all categories of personal information we collect, including information about minors.

We may share your athletic profile information with college coaches, recruiters, or certified coaches when you explicitly opt in to make your profile visible to these parties. You control this visibility through your account settings at all times.
We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate our Services. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose. Our current service providers include:
Our own product usage events described in Section 1.3 are not shared with any of these providers. They are stored in our own database and are not sent to an analytics company, an advertising network, or any other third party.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Athlete Quotient, our users, or the public.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our Site before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. For example, we may share aggregate statistics about athletic benchmarks across positions and age groups.
Athlete Quotient takes the privacy of children very seriously. Our platform serves athletes of all ages, including children under the age of 13, and we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) as amended in 2025.
When someone tells us they are under 13, our servers require a parent or guardian's name and email address before the submission is accepted. This is enforced on our servers, not merely in the browser, so it cannot be bypassed. We then email that parent or guardian immediately, telling them exactly what we hold, what we use it for, and giving them a single link that deletes it permanently without needing an account or a reply.
We want to be precise about what this is. Requiring a parent's contact details and notifying them is a meaningful protection, and it is not the same as the "verifiable parental consent" methods described in the COPPA rule, which require an additional step such as a payment card, a signed form, or a video call. We are describing what our software actually does rather than claiming more. If you are a parent and you would prefer a stronger process before we hold anything about your child, email privacy@athletequotient.com and we will handle it individually.

The product usage events described in Section 1.3 are collected the same way for every visitor regardless of age, and the reason we can say that plainly is that they contain nothing about the person to begin with - no name, no email, no age, no measurements, and a session identifier that is randomly generated rather than derived from anyone. They are used to find where our Services confuse or fail people, and for nothing else. They are never used for advertising and never shared.
Personal information collected from children under 13 is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. Parents may request deletion at any time.

Virginia residents have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, as well as the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and profiling. We do not engage in the sale of personal data or targeted advertising.
Colorado residents have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal data. Colorado residents also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and profiling. We do not sell personal data.
Connecticut residents have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and port their personal data, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and profiling.
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act provides Texas residents with rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and profiling. As a Texas-based company, we take these obligations seriously and do not sell personal data.
Additional states including Utah, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, and others have enacted comprehensive privacy laws. We extend the core rights described above - access, correction, deletion, and the right to opt out of data sales - to all U.S. residents regardless of state.
We do sometimes buy advertising that links to our Site. When we do, the link may carry tags identifying the campaign it came from, and those tags are passed to our portal so we can tell which advertising brought people to us. These tags describe the advertisement, not you, and no identifier that could follow you between our Site and our portal travels with them.
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You may disable cookies, but some features of the Site may not function properly. Google Analytics data can be opted out of using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
To switch off our own analytics, enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser. We honor both, and when either is on we collect no product usage events whatsoever. Clearing your browser's site data also erases the random session identifier, and a new one is generated on your next visit.
